Large diameter pipes

1

Large-diameter pipes are used for various industries and are in demand in construction, including oil and gas, mining, housing construction, hydraulic structures and other industries. As a rule, large diameter pipes include products with a diameter of more than 530 mm. It is not always convenient to order such pipes at the mill, especially if you need a pipe with non-standard wall thickness. In such a case it is possible to produce the required pipe from shells at a metal construction plant.

Production of large-diameter pipes is a complex and multi-stage process that requires highly qualified personnel and the use of modern equipment.

The first stage is the preparation of rolled sheet, including its cleaning, straightening and cutting into billets of specified dimensions. The maximum thickness of the bent sheet is 70 mm. The billets are then formed into cylindrical shells using roll mills. In the rollers, the sheet material is rolled between powerful rollers and bent to the required radius. Our plant has at its disposal modern rolling equipment and an automatic system for joining and welding of shells.

Welding of shells into pipes is carried out by automatic or semi-automatic submerged-arc welding. Quality control of welds includes visual inspection and ultrasonic defectoscopy.

The final stage is the application of anticorrosion coating, which, if necessary, ensures the durability of pipes.

Finished products undergo quality control, after which they are labeled and the products are shipped to the customer.
